National Airport Minsk provides the full range of airport services. Two artificial runways, equipped with modern lighting systems, allow to implement landing of any aircraft types in all weather conditions.
The 1st runway: length 3,641m, width 60m – is currently out of commission due to its renovation
The 2nd runway: length 3,700m, width 60m
National Airport Minsk includes Orsha (IATA code: TXC, ICAO code: UMIO) and Mogilev (IATA code: MVQ, ICAO code: UMOO) branches, which are approved for international flight operation.
Flights ground handling at RUE “National Airport Minsk” is implemented by:
- RUE “National Airport Minsk”;
- Belavia - Belarusian Airlines.
In order to initiate air connection with the Republic of Belarus an airline should:
1. FOR OPERATION NONSCHEDULED FLIGHTS:
1.1. Send a ground handling request indicating the services needed to RUE “National Airport Minsk” (e-mail: pdo_ssa@airport.by, AFNT: UMMSZTZX, tel.: +375 17 279 11 33).
1.2. For operation nonscheduled flights it is necessary to obtain a permit via the of Flight Coordination and Control Centre (FCCC) which is the branch of the Republican Unitary Air Navigation Services Enterprise «BELAERONAVIGATSIA» issued according to a preliminary request (Form 2). The rules of submitting a request are stipulated in AIP miscellanea
1.3. Conclude an aircraft ground handling agreement with RUE “National Airport Minsk” (a long-term agreement (download the list of required documents) should be drawn up at International Business Management, a one-time agreement should be drawn up at Mutual Settlements Bureau).

1.4. Conclude an agreement for aircraft supply with fuels and lubricants with Fueling Service of JSC “Belavia” Airline” (refueling of aircraft with fuels and lubricants in Orsha and Mogilev branches is provided under aircraft ground handling agreements).
2. FOR SCHEDULED FLIGHTS LAUNCHING:
2.1. Obtain accreditation in the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus.
2.2. Conclude an aircraft ground handling agreement with RUE “National Airport Minsk” (a long-term agreement (download the list of required documents) should be drawn up at International Business Management.
2.3. Conclude an agreement for aircraft supply with fuels and lubricants with Fueling Service of JSC “Belavia” Airline” (refueling of aircraft with fuels and lubricants in Orsha and Mogilev branches is provided under aircraft ground handling agreements).
2.4. For implementing scheduled flights it is necessary to approve a flight schedule (Form 1) at the Aviation Department of Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus via the branch "Flight Coordination and Control Centre (FCCC)". RUE “Minsk National Airport” offers a service of flights handling in DCS Astra for airlines.
This service includes:
- flights preparation in DCS Astra;
- operated aircraft data base maintenance
- Astra DCS data adjustment in case of aircraft or its configuration substitution.
Service of air cargo transportation is carried out by Cargo Complex Department of the National Airport Minsk, which provides the following complex of services:
- Transport & forwarding services;
- Customs clearance;
- Cargo handling;
- Temporary storage warehouse services
