Minsk National Airport and Belavia Airlines inform that starting from 00.00 May 15, 2017 the technology of passenger services is changing for those passengers who arrive from the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation. All flights to Russian cities will be transferred from domestic terminals to international sectors of Russian airports. Border control of aircrafts and passengers who depart from Belarus and arrive to Belarus will be carried out as well.

 

The technology of passenger services for those passengers who arrive from the Russian Federation does not change and border control will not be implemented in Minsk airport.

 

To pass through control the residents of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation are required to show a document proving their identity, as well as a boarding pass confirming their arrival to or departure from the Republic of Belarus by the appropriate flight. The citizens of the above-mentioned countries pass through control by specially designated corridors.

 

Passengers traveling to the places of the Russian Federation in transit through Minsk National Airport will be required to show a document proving their identity, as well as a migration card, filled on arrival in the Republic of Belarus.

 

Minsk National Airport and Belavia Airlines make every effort to ensure a high level service and comfortable transit conditions through Minsk.

Dear passengers!

 

We advise you to clear up all the questions regarding the drawing up of the entry and departure documents in advance while planning your trip. Check the availability of valid passport and visa/other permit to enter the destination country. Check-in is performed only provided all these documents.

 

If it is necessary entry visa to the Republic of Belarus can be issued by the Division for the Admission of Foreigners of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that is located at Minsk National Airport.

 

A private visit abroad for under-age children is effected with the permit got from both of parents. A departure for treatment, rendering health consultation is effected with the permit from one of the parents. For further information, please, apply to the passport office at your place of residence.

 

In advance, look through the customs registration rules for goods, the carriage of excess and oversized baggage, animals and plants.

 

 

Note! USUALLY CHECK-IN FOR A FLIGHT FINISHES 40 MINUTES BEFORE THE TAKE-OFF TIME INDICATED IN YOUR TICKET. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU WHEN BOOKING AND PURCHASING AN AIRLINE TICKET PLEASE CHECK THE CHECK-IN TIME LIMIT WITH THE AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL OF THE AIRLINE CHOSEN BY YOU. For example, ON FLIGHTS OPERATED BY ETIHAD AIRWAYS CHECK-IN STARTS 3 HOURS BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME AND ENDS 1 HOUR BEFORE DEPARTURE FOR ECONOMY CLASS PASSENGERS AND 45 MINUTES FOR BUSINESS CLASS PASSENGERS.

Baggage handling system with special transportation requirements is used at Minsk National Airport. Suitcases with rollers are to be transported only in lateral position. When checking-in your baggage the following things are forbidden to be put on the conveyor belt:

     - items that can roll up such as balls, tubes, round bags;
     - excessively soft or unstable items such as plastic bags;
     - fragile items such as electronic devices, glass;
     - animals;
     - metal trolleys for bags;
     - bags with long dangled straps (long straps should be taken off and short straps should be tied together).

 

Baggage mustn’t have tags and barcode from the previous flights.

 

Boarding the plane please follow all the instructions of a passenger  transportation agent in order to avoid accidents.

 

The obligatory medical insurance for foreign citizens and persons without citizenship who are temporary in Belarus is in force. This includes the first medical aid by the state medical establishments in case of unexpected illness or accident.

 

Only the insurance policies of the Belarusian insurance companies are valid in Belarus. You can purchase the obligatory medical insurance policy at the insurance companies’ representatives in the arrival halls of the airport.
