Belavia Belarusian Airlines in cooperation with National Airport Minsk and Minsk-2 Customs have developed a passenger handling technology that allows passengers who travel from any city of the world including the cities of the Customs Union (the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus) via Minsk airport to travel further without the need of baggage claim in Minsk.

If a passenger has no need to declare in written from the content of the baggage, the latter can be checked in the initial point of departure for the entire route.

If the passenger needs to declare the content of the baggage, his baggage will be retrieved and handed over to the passenger by the airport personnel for customs clearance procedures.

“The opportunity to check-in baggage up to the final point of travel will heighten the National Airport Minsk attractiveness for transit passengers which will result in passenger traffic growth of the airline. Today approximately 30% of our passengers are transfer passengers. I hope that this figure will grow in the future”, – marked Anatoly Gusarov, Director General, Belavia Belarusian airlines.
