Minsk National Airport reaches a new high level in handling of passenger and cargo aircraft

At 2010 year-end Minsk National Airport supplemented its stock of special technical equipment with a new container-and-palette high-loader CHAMP 70U. The new high-loader with load-carrying ability of 7 tons was successfully brought into operation in January 2011. Today airport is able to perform loading and unloading baggage and cargo for all aircraft types rapidly, safely and with high quality (except the front bay of Airbus 319).

 

Nowadays Minsk National Airport is a unique enterprise in Belarus that has in its disposal the ramp equipment of such a high level and ample possibilities. The acquisition of the loader by the airport has become an important forward step in development of Belarusian air transportation market.

 

The experts of the loader’s maker – Trepel Airport Equipment Gmbh (Germany) conducted instruction of Minsk National Airport’s staff and issued the international level certificates.

 

 

 

Technical information:
- capacity – 7000 kg;
- lifting height main platform – 485-3700 mm; lifting height front platform – 1900-5600 mm;
- dimensions L×W×H – 9.20×4.30×3.20 m;
- weight – 17,700 kg.

 

Main platform:
- palette and container side-loading  from both sides;
- 360º turn of containers;
- automatic level-lapping system of the main platform up/down to the front one;

 

Front platform:
- shock absorbers on the first rolling element and adaptors;
- hydraulic transmission of adaptors;
- platform adjustment according to the configuration of hatches’ low edge within the scope of ± 2º.
